Statement of Commitment to Chid Safety
At Ringwood Knox Parish, part of the Lutheran Church of Australia, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centred environment for all children and young people.
We believe that every child is a precious gift from God, created in His image, and deserving of respect, care, and protection. As a church community, we are dedicated to ensuring that children feel valued, heard, and safe at all times.
We are committed to:
Zero tolerance of child abuse in any form.
Actively promoting the safety, well-being, and participation of all children, especially those who are vulnerable.
Creating an environment where children’s voices are heard and respected.
Complying with all child protection laws, including the Child Safe Standards in Victoria.
Ensuring all leaders, staff, and volunteers are trained, screened, and supported in child safety practices.
Continually reviewing and improving our child safety policies and practices.
Our commitment flows from our faith in Jesus Christ, who welcomed and valued children, and calls us to do the same. Together, we strive to build a safe, inclusive, and grace-filled community where everyone can grow in faith.
